Supported living can be an alternative to residential care for vulnerable adults who need support to live independently. It is for people with learning disabilities, mental health issues, or with a physical or sensory disability who want to live as independently as possible. you will be encouraged to make your own choices about daily living. You can get help to do lots of things, such as:
- managing your money
- cooking and shopping
- staying healthy
- getting out and about
The amount of help you receive will depend on what you want to do. Some people might need a few hours of support a week. Others might need someone to spend significantly more time with them.
If you are in urgent need of a home, more information is available on Leicester City Council's website here.
