Emotional Support

As HIV is a long-term condition, you'll be in regular contact with your healthcare team, who will review your treatment on an ongoing basis.  Developing a good relationship with your healthcare team means that you can easily discuss your symptoms or concerns. The more the team knows, the more they can help you.  Services, including support organisations like LASS, work together to provide specialist care and emotional support.

There is a connection between the mind and body. While most people understand that living with HIV can be stressful, they don’t always realise that emotions can affect your body and your physical health, making it more difficult to fight HIV.
