What Services We Have
This is a brief summary of the services we offer:
- Emotional care and support for people, either individually, with partners and friends, or with members of their family.
- Advocacy, information and advice: we support, work with, and act on behalf of people affected by HIV and AIDS. We also provide access to up to date comprehensive information.
- Short and long term befriending and mentoring.
- Facilities where people can come together for support, to socialise, or for a chat with lunch twice a week.
- A food-bank fund providing food vouchers for people living with HIV/AIDS on low incomes, to help ensure dietary needs are being met.
- Complementary Therapies such as massage, aromatherapy, acupuncture and reflexology.
- Financial assistance: People with HIV/AIDS often face considerable financial pressure and the David Manley Fund can provide help towards household bills, transport, or other essential costs.
- Supported referrals to other agencies and signposting.
- Out reach services in Loughborough and home or community visits.
- Social activities, training, opportunities to help others, access to a computer and a library.
- Access to city centre space to meet other positive people, carry out research, meet with staff and to utilise our building.
